#1 SPV's to Drive Significant Growth

To form a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) can in many situations be an optimal way to scale one or more water technology companies and de-risk investments for investors. At Water Impact Partners we see a growing interest in forming vertical SPV's for investors to secure a strategic investment area with high potential but with lower risk than direct investments.

As we have significant experience from the water industry and have driven some of the most ambitious CVC and innovation arms in some of the biggest water players we are having dialogues with investors who want to drive significant investments in the water industry. These SPV's will mainly be within:

- Water treatment
- New water sources (special focus on atmospheric water and rainwater harvesting)
- Digital water management

As we have access to some of the best anchor water techs in the industry this is an optimal way to venture into a growing water industry with new innovations. With our proven growth and operating partner models, we are de-risking investments where growth capital (post series A) is needed to support general impact investments.

The SPV ticket size starts from 5m USD and can be applied globally. These investments can also be combined with exsisting venture and impact funds and we offer our advisory and recommendations on funds of fund strategy and setup.

If you as investor want to hear more about the upcoming SPV's please reach out to Sead Bajrovic or Jesper Munkholm.

#2 Fundraising Partner
Since we have decided not to drive pure fundraising activities for our customers but only supporting on growth plans, investment roadmaps and general advisory, we have teamed up with KMM Consulting founded by Karl Michael Millauer and his team based in Switzerland, Germany and Netherlands.

Karl and his team have specialized in fundraise within the water industry and combined with Water Impact Partners' strong growth advisory experience we see a great match supporting customers globally.

Jesper Munkholm, Founding Partner & GM in Water Impact Partners says:

“The sector has seen significant fundraising activity; however, many start-ups lack the right connections and often settle for less-than-ideal investors. To address this, we have partnered with KMM Consulting to ensure that top-tier investors are engaged in every opportunity. Additionally, KMM Consulting enhances our efforts by providing expert deep technical evaluations and recruitment services, creating a comprehensive support system for our clients in their growth journey.”

On the other hand, Karl Michael Millauer, CEO & founder of KMM Consulting says:

"With a partner like Water Impact Partners and their preparation for investments in water techs, our work becomes much more focused as the investor profiles becomes quite clearer. Investors like a structured growth plan built on a high degree of realism. This minimizes risks and generates strong transparency when investing in a water technology company."

The collaboration is already initiated and will have full effect from the 1st of January 2025 and onwards.

#3 Our Services

We have decided to make our offerings even more simple and have opened up for our 2 days Growth Sessions as a stand alone service to support water techs directly or through their investors.

During 2024 we have helped many water technology companies to become clearer and more focused when it comes to their strategy, funding journey and team dynamics. We often see companies that have managed to come to a pivoting moment in their journey where they have nailed their go to market strategy and proven their product market fit and are ready to take the next steps. That's why we have now formalized our 2 days growth sessions for companies around series A and onwards.

For corporates and investors we have also made it easy to engage with our advisors through our structured packages. For investors we are able to support specific portfolio companies and secure growth plans to leverage investments. For corporates we are able to go from shorter sparring sessions to long-term support engagements.

#4 Events & Conferences

Sead KSA

Last week Sead Bajrovic participated in this year's IDWS Conference in Jeddah, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Sead was part of a panel to discuss how the Saudi Water Innovation Centre (SWIC) brings together inventors, researchers, companies, and government agencies to create a full innovation chain for water technology—from
initial ideas and R&D to demo sites and commercialization. The panel discussed how venturing models accelerate this process, turning groundbreaking ideas into market-ready solutions.

As Sead puts it: "Saudi Arabia and the GCC region is pushing for more innovation, local entrepreneurship and venturing in water. The combination of strong domestic market, advanced R&D capabilities, high ambitions and partnering with global players in the water ecosystem will unleash a massive potential in the coming years."

In general, we see the GCC region as a highly intersting hub for innovation within the water sector as the regions challenges needs new innovations, and those innovation can be applicable in many market around the world. So a combination of current challenges, appetite for investments and to drive innovations with existing players in the region makes it a "hot spot" for water innovations to have on the radar.
